KUALA LUMPUR 17 Sept. - Anak syarikat Google Inc., YouTube akhirnya menyekat akses ke filem Innocence of Muslims kepada pengguna internet di Malaysia selepas ia mencetuskan kemarahan umat Islam di seluruh dunia kerana secara jelas menghina Nabi Muhammad SAW dan agama itu.

Ketua Komunikasi dan Perhubungan Awam Google Malaysia, Zeffri Yusof berkata, sekatan terhadap filem itu di negara ini bermula petang semalam selepas mereka diarah berbuat demikian oleh Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM).

"Kami mempunyai garis panduan masyarakat yang jelas dan apabila sesebuah filem melakukan pelanggaran peraturan, syarikat akan menarik balik penayangannya.

"Di samping itu, kami akan menyekat akses ke sesebuah filem di mana sahaja YouTube tempatan dilancarkan jika diberitahu ia menyalahi undang-undang (tempatan) dan selepas kajian menyeluruh terhadapnya dilakukan," katanya ketika dihubungi di sini.
